Who we are:

A group of minded professionals interested in helping Latino children in North Carolina succeed through education.

We strongly believe that the education of a child begins at conception. Good music and good conversation with his mom and dad when the baby is in the womb will have a positive impact in his life.

Then between birth and 8 years old, is when we have the best opportunity to help that child develop his mind through early childhood care and education. What happens in these eight years sets the foundation for all of the years that follow.

We want to give parents, grand parents, aunts, uncles and all the people in the village involved in raising our Latino kids, tools, knowledge and ways to apply them to help their child develop their minds, by exposing them to reading books, writing and learning basic math at an early age.

If we succeed in helping our kids read, write and know math at grade level in third grade, we will be placing them on their path to be successful in school and therefore in life. It has been proven that 96% of children who read at grade level in third grade will graduate from high school.

When Latino children graduate from high school we want to be there to give them scholarships to go to college. In the last 15 years we have giving more than $200,000 in scholarships.

We strongly feel that we have to do everything we can to help our Latino children be successful in school and in life. We want to help them grow up to be doctors, lawyers, dentists, nurses, IT Specialists, scientists, engineers, architects, teachers, journalists, writers, business owners, etc. In other words, we want to help them to develop to their maximum intellectual and social capacity, so they will become happy, productive citizens, who will help with the prosperity of North Carolina.

But we cannot do it alone, we need your financial support to implement our programs.
